ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the day-to-day website site merchandising and delivering digital content creation to take the newly built site to a world-class site delivering the online sales targets. Here are the main parts of the role:

  • Global site content – manage weekly site creative and promotional changes, product updates, copy, editorials, and seasonal site refreshes
  • Daily site management and trading – driving sales and conversion
  • Experience of Shopify & WordPress platform essential
  • User experience – create the most usable and engaging experience across the site
  • Insight and analytics – defining who the customer is, where they come from, what they do on-site etc, and then create strategies around this.
  • Work closely with content, CRM, marketing agencies/team, etc to create the best strategies and experience for their customers.
  • To assist in delivering the brand’s social media strategy and implement the campaigns daily across all channels – paid for and organic.
  • Implement and deliver the brand’s customer communications through Mailchimp and Klaviyo.
  • A good understanding of SEO, PPC, and Google shopping landscape to work alongside our agencies.
  • Analysis and Reporting – Weekly and daily reporting on website sales and social campaigns – with the ability to interpret and present the results to the marketing team
  • Ability to work alongside and support our external partners including digital and PR agencies.
  • Assist and attend regular product and seasonal collection photoshoots and manage the stock library.

Job Description
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager the apprentice will be required to work as part of a small team, in the sample room working on the job and learning with a structured learning programme, which includes attending training sessions as delivered by The Textile Centre of Excellence.

As part of this, you will learn about the different processes involved in the manufacture of textiles and will visit other companies for an all-rounded learning experience. You will work towards the Level 2 Textile Manufacturing Operative Standard. All with a view to progressing further within the business to our Fibres department or be part of the Sales team.

Duties to include:
Main Duties – On site
• Sending samples to our customers and agents
• Logging samples arriving from our suppliers to the database
• Collecting samples from the warehouse and mill
• Good housekeeping within the sample room
• Filing processing and sample sheets
• Preparing delivery samples for buyer inspection and testing
• Liaising with the laboratory to record test results on the computer system
• Replenishing samples in the sample boxes for permanent availability
• Logging and presenting trial data for R&D grants
Textile Centre of Excellence
• Understanding fibres, yarns and fabrics – fibre classification & fibre practical and testing
• Understanding textile processes (scouring, blending, carding, spinning, twisting & winding)
• Quality systems – standard of performance, measuring and analysing quality
• Understand textile processes (warping, weaving, mending, finishing and inspection)
• Understand textile processes (nonwoven, dyeing and finishing)
• Understand the environmental impact of textiles

Health & Safety
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Wear relevant personal protective equipment as required
Any other suitable tasks the business feels are appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Good written and spoken English
Educated to GCSE Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)

PREFERRED SKILLS
Have good IT knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good at multitasking and prioritising tasks
A team player
Reliable with good timekeeping
